Educational Theater in Action!

Bring classroom subjects to life through creative drama with Northwest Children’s Theater! Using the tools of the actor–mind, voice, body, and imagination–students will be immersed in an exciting new world where kinesthetic learning rules and collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking abounds. From taking on characters to develop reading comprehension and compassion, to creating first-person narratives to develop writing skills, confidence, and empathy, we’ll work with you to craft a residency or workshop that meets the unique needs of you and your students.

Previous lessons include: Let’s Go For a Drive: Elephant and Piggie (creative drama, PreK, K), Penguins on Parade (penguin life, Gr 1-2), Reaching New Heights (the solar system, Gr 3-5), The Rooms Where It Happens (U.S. Government, Gr 6-8).
