We’re excited about a new piece of collateral that just came in from the printer. Beginning with those who made contributions to us through the 2010 Willamette Week Give!Guide, we’re now sending individual donors the postcard pictured above (and below), which allows them to take their involvement a step further and exhibit an active role in the ongoing discussion on arts education.
Upon making a financial contribution, all our donors large and small become part of a vital network of Right Brain supporters throughout the community, which includes corporations, private foundations and public entities like the City of Portland and the school districts we partner with. And we couldn’t get by without any one of them.
We encourage donors to send this card directly to our partnering superintendents—letting them know that they’ve just joined the districts in championing Right Brain and equitable arts education for local K-8 students. How neat is that? It lets our donors know that their support is meaningful and effective AND it sends a positive message to our partner schools reaffirming the community’s support of their efforts.
We work closely with all our partnering districts—who not only invest financially in the program, but help us to develop the structure and implementation. We have senior district administrators who sit on our Governing and Operating Committees—all of whom put in an awful lot of time helping us guide this work and advocating for the program within their districts. They do this because they know it’s right for their students and believe in the investment, but now it’s time to let them know how much the public supports their efforts.
