…one abundant national network now available to teachers and artists in the Portland area.

Great news! We’re excited to announce that Right Brain has been named one of the 14 newest Partners in Education of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, an international leader in the development of arts education programming. The Partners program exists to help organizations around the nation build and develop strong professional development for school teachers. We’ll receive fresh perspectives and the newest research to support our already growing professional development program for the teachers, administrators and artists we serve.

We’re participating alongside the Gresham-Barlow School District, whose schools Hollydale and East Orient Elementary have been with us from the start. As a team, we’re proud to be the sole representative from the state of Oregon to the Partners program. And this May, we’ll send staff to the Kennedy Center’s Partners in Education Institute in Washington, DC (of course, we’ll provide reports live from the scene here on the blog). The Institute is attended by hundreds of educators from across the country, so we’ll have the chance to swap ideas with our cohorts from all corners of the United States.
