Amanda Kronlage is an artist by nature who has always built things. The outdoors greatly inspire her and she loves learning about obscure oddities in the animal and plant kingdoms. She is especially intrigued by textures, patterns, and colors found on living creatures and how their exterior attributes are directly related to their daily lives. Originally from Iowa, she earned a BFA in sculpture from the University of Northern Iowa. When she is not doing metalwork, forming dresses from cups, canoeing or traveling, she is most likely reading outside or playing Nintendo 64.
