What is the value of arts education?

December 22nd, 2010 by Allie

“The ability to see the world from different perspectives.”

In honor of the last week of the Willamette Week’s Give!Guide fundraising campaign, we decided to compile a new set of responses to the question, “What is the value of arts education?” We gathered these responses on Post-it notes in our traveling exhibit as it toured around the tri-county region during the second part of this year.

Stick with us as we post a new response each day.

What is the value of arts education to you? How important is it to the health of this metropolitan area that we ensure every child in every neighborhood has access to high quality arts education? Is it worth donating $10 to help us make this change within our school systems?

Click here to donate now! The deadline is midnight on December 31.

If you missed our first series of Post-it posts from September, see what children have to say about the value of arts education.
